Surface and Destroy 3rd Piece

     For my third piece I made an environment inside of a cardboard box. I added red wax to alter the color of the wax from the previous piece. At this point I gave into the nature of the project and just tore the entire thing apart. This was a very cathartic experience for me, and allowed me to be more free with the construction of the next few pieces.

Surface and Destroy - 2nd Piece

     For my second piece I melted the 69 submarines and added green wax to change the color. I made 40 casts of squirt guns. The squirt gun mold was made from a squirt gun also found at the dollar store. To destroy this piece I melted the guns in the double boiler and then also crushed them using an exacto knife.

Surface and Destroy - 1st piece

     For my first piece I made 69 wax casts of a submarine toy I found at the dollar store. I melted candles and mass produced the casts. My method of destruction was melting using both a double boiler and a hairdryer.

Homework: Visit Top 3 Majors

     My top three choices for my major are painting, sculpture, and craft/material studies. I really want to double major in painting and sculpture. I have visited the building all of these majors are in before, and have a project class in there right now. Overall I really liked the atmosphere and still feel confident in my choices for my major.
